Master Your Tabletop Character. Play Better.

About Andragoras:

30 Years of Tabletop RPG Experience

I’m Matt (Nickname Andragoras), and I’ve spent more time at the table than I have at my own desk.

I started playing Tabletop RPGs over 30 years ago.  I created the RPG Player Hub to share my years of knowledge.

I quickly realised that while there are a million resources for Dungeon Masters, players were often left to figure things out on their own.

I created RPG Player Hub to be the resource I wish I had—a place to master the mechanics so we can focus on the story.

It does not matter if you are a complete Tabletop RPG newbie or a veteran; I have a wealth of knowledge to help everyone.

About Andragoras RPG Veteran
Matt Tabletop Player

My first-ever Tabletop RPG was Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (2nd edition).  I played a greedy Dwarven Cleric, and I loved playing this character.

Ever since that first experience of Tabletop RPGs, I have played hundreds of other games and characters.

I love tabletop games as they are so immersive and fun to play.  I have met some lifelong friends through playing.

Plus, I have become a more confident person as well.

I believe the best memories aren't made by high rolls, but by the creative decisions players make when the pressure is on. I started the RPG Player Hub because I’ve seen too many great players get bogged down by complex rules or feel intimidated by 'optimized' builds. My mission is to bridge the gap between mechanical mastery and narrative roleplay. Whether you are a first-time adventurer or a fellow veteran, I’m here to help you find the 'soul' in your character sheet.

Andragoras FAQ

What game systems do you specialize in?

While I have a deep love for the classics like AD&D and 3.5, I currently focus on D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e. However, the principles of “Player Mastery” at the RPG Player Hub apply to almost any Tabletop Roleplaying system.

I’ve seen the hobby grow from a niche basement pastime to a global phenomenon.

I wanted to create a space that cuts through the noise and provides practical, veteran-level advice that helps players respect the story as much as the stats.

I am currently building out resources for the community, but stay tuned for deep-dive workshops and personalised character-building sessions coming in the future.

Don’t be afraid to fail. The most legendary stories I’ve witnessed in 30 years didn’t come from a Natural 20; they came from a Natural 1 that the player embraced with a great roleplay moment.
